Just wanted to say that I think Connecticut is a beautiful state !  I spent a week there  from oct 1st to Oct 9th, and had a great time.  We went up to my nephew's retirement cemeromy from the Navy ( in Groton )  and got to do alot of sight seeing while we were there. My nephew actually lives in Gales Ferry .

Wonderful weather the whole time, and the trees were really beginning to turn color while we were there so that was nice to.  I took 444 pictures while there ! lol

Loved all the colorful houses especially the ones that had the shingle siding, so beautiful and quaint.  And the beautiful flowers everywhere !!!   brought back staryes from my nephews home of the white daisys. lol

Really loved Mystic and Stonnington Burrough, both beautiful places!  Got to go to Clyde's Cider Mill and get apples and cider, best of both that I have ever had ! YUMMY !!!

Went to Pumpkin Town USA and had alot of fun, and rode the hay ride to.

What I enjoyed the most tho was the old cemeteries. We vivited alot of old Historic ones and I have to say they are the most beautiful cemeteries I have seen anywhere !

Never thought I would be tempted to move out of Okla but Connecticut tempted me ! ( even with the cold winters ! ) lol

    Beautiful State for sure !!

I'm glad you had a wonderful visit up here in CT. It really is a very beautiful state. The fresh apples and cider are wonderful, I love to go apple picking every fall. You should come back in the spring when the sugar houses are open and making maple syrup. We're not expecting this fall to have really good fall color though, the summer was too hot and dry and early fall too wet and rainy, but I'm glad you got to see some nice color, there are some trees that do well no matter what the weather is doing.
