Some of my perennials died because , I think, Voles ate the roots. I have seen mouse like rodents running around the flower bed. I see tunnels here and there. Please advice how I can control this problem . Thank you.

If you can find the tunnels put mothballs into them, if that does not help try small raggs soaked in castoroil.

If all this fails, you can use gas bombs which gas them. You will need to have a supply of rocks so you can plug up any exits where the gas escapes. You can get the bombs at most hardware/garden stores.

Sorry you are having this problem, but the only method of removing them permanently, is the permanent one.

You have my sympathy. I lost about a hundred pounds or more peaches.,,all tomatoes and raspberries. I will use a lot of oil sprays this year, and plant only small trees,so I can cover them . If that does not work I will just cry. One of our club Members suggested Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade, however I have the garden grade and I will use to hopefully kill them before they have their wings. to shake them in a bucket of water and soap is the cheepest way to go but that must be done early in the morning when they are still inactive. I just found a Gardensafe spray that lists Stink bugs on the list . In one of my books it says to use Canola Oil and I will realy try everything in 2011. Good Luck to all of us.
