In my Independent Study I am still Doing the out look on the Polution is Bleek, it appears it is worse than I ever thought it could be.  The Problem i see is that it is in hot Just in the Soil of our Gardens it is in our Potting Media.  Let me clarify this for you, I went out and got some Topsy Turveys, the thing is this, I used a Potting Mix, and I had the same thing happen that is going on in the Garden soil.  My Tomatoe Plants still have the Bacterial spots, Mold, and last but not least they have Blossom End Rot.  This is starting off like it was bitten by some kind of bug to suck som juices out of the Tomatoes, this is not the worse of it, my Peppers, Cucumbers, and Egg Plants are also effected by this same Problem.  even th Leavs are affected by this Problem, I have the Therory that the Air, Land and Water Polution is taking a toll on all of our crops, this is part of the reason why we are loosing our Crops to this problem it increases over  each year at a rate of about 10% in a modist year Here in Wisconsin.  Last year and the years Proceeding this going Back 6 years it has been a harsh year, this year it is more like 35% to %0% increase because of the Un Predictable Weather we have Beeen Having.  Everything across the board is affected, and the reason I chose to use a container along with Plants in the Ground to see if I still have the Problem Guess what It was there in a Vengence.  Now people will say Oh well this is the Breaks when you do Gardening, to I say you are Wrong in a big way, because Know you factor in the Hive Colapse over thew past few Years, More Like decades, just no one noticed it in Boom times.  So if Insects, Deseases, Virouses, Bacteria, and Fungi, attack the Plants because of Climatic Changes they are also know affecting the Bees that live off the plants like we the People and also the Animals that feed on these plants. Here is my Worry if the Plants and Crop Production Decreases By 10% to 55% then the Bees will also Depreciate or Die off at the same rate of Speed accordingly but here is the Kicker it will almost with Hive Colapse Dubble with our Bee Population.  Our Polution isn't just killing the Vegitation, but i9t Kills off the bees, The Insects, the Animals who feed off the Vegitation, and finally the Humans that feed off this vegitation.  We have to act and we have to ace know before it is to late, Opse it Aready is to Late, we might not beable to Reverse the Problem, but we can slow it or even Stop it Dead in it'ss traks, before we are all a Statistic of Our own Ignorance in acting to late to the Problem, We can Not just afford to look at each other and ask our Neghbor why they are not doing anything to stop this Problem while we are not willing to help out any way we can. Help out the Country and world, Email Congress, Wright to Congress, Go to Congress if we have the Means, but lets make our Voice heard and Make it heard very loudly, shout this Message and shout it from the top of outr lungs, shout it untill out Throats Hurt and we can not talk physically any more because if we sit back and do nuthing we will not have to worry about anything because this means Instinction for the Human race, and total anialation, because without the food Chain there is no life and where there is not life you just have a Barron and desolate planet, just like the rest of them in our solar system, and Global warming Makes all of the above Mentioned things a Breeder reactor or Incubator for these things not giving anything that lives a chance.  Thank you very much I will Keep you Posted on this Study.

Thank you so much Stephanio for writing about this...I agree with you...I can look back even when I was a kid how much the climate has changed...everything is connected of all living things...even us...without water and food there is no life...the trees are the lungs of our planet and are over worked and stressed out.. Polution is the problem.
This year I noticed something about my Tomato plants some in my veggie bed that [I rotated and adding compost] and my tomato plants in the containers..none did well...I grew Heirlooms and Hybrids tomatoes and it had the same problem.
We can slow things down and turn things around..dont wait for somebody else to do it ..it starts with each of us and together we can make a differants.
    Stephanio..keep your study posted..thank you so much...Juliana

Do you have any more results? Is it improving any? I've noticed these past few years (last two especially) that the flavor or fruits and general health of plants is low without a LOT of help. Many plants are not responding, even with help from the faeries... So far, the roses are the only ones doing any good... in fact, all of the roses in this area are the ONLY things doing any good. I also suspect it's this crazy weather we've been having. Tropical plants seem to be doing better this year (in fact, besides roses, they are the only things growing). My mother's petunias have grown back this year, believe it or not... and they're annuals here!

Hi All, Is everyone as anxious as I am to get in the garden and make things green? I was just thinking about the problem I had with Blossom End Rot for the past 2 years. I used a product called "Rot Stop" first, that was for the tomatoes, the bell peppers even had it too. Then I decided that I'd forgot to lime, and I added 1/2 lb to my raised bed that is 4X4X20. Everything started perking up, and I added Epsom Salt to the soil around each plant, worked it in then watered with rain water, last year was the best yet for the garden! I'd like to hear how you are progressing with your study. Happy gardening!
